Amiture Drone Pilot Mistake!

Image
Zach was nice enough to drive me out to a beautiful location to shoot my drone show called Sugarloaf State Park.  I just knew that this was going to be the place of my first ever cinematic drone video! My first and opening shot was going to be a low slow cinematic fly over some boulders with the ground dropping out revealing a beautiful treed forest valley. (I flew it flawlessly, just ask me) Cinematic flying the valley! Got home and popped the micro SD Card out of Spark falling between my no motor skill fingers and of all places falling down the heater register! Noooooooooooo! My family already helps me a lot with my drone. Now I have to go ask my son for help and fish my SD Card out of the heater register! Noooooooooooooo! lol Ryan finley found it after sifting through stuff I have no clue even how it gets down a heater vent in the first place. Once I got the SD Card I just knew I was going to be watching some amazing video! Now for the ultimate amateur move! ...

Community Announcement of Show Changes

Image
I want to make clear to our drone community that my goal for my I Can't Walk But I Can Fly Drone Show is to learn how to produce a high quality and high valued drone show.   I dream of producing a drone show we engage together on as a community. A recent show change is  My Show Sponsor Tom Iliffe felt it best at this time to pull his sponsorship of my show. If anyone believes in my using drones to raise stroke awareness and is willing to sponsor my show, please leave me a message in comments. My future show objective: To work really hard on learning drone cinematography.  I want to share what I learn with you and hopefully produce valuable content. I want to learn how to produce drone cinematic sequences. Because I have allowed myself to get buried with Stroke TV projects and don't have enough time to go cinematic film Lord Snort, the Bore Metal Sculpture, I must postpone next months show to the following month (12/1/18 @ 2 PM PST) I will m...

Drone Show Change

Image
I wanted to let you know that my show sponsor Tom Iliffe decided to focus on other projects and will no longer be sponsoring my show. Next months show, November 3rd I'll be doing a  reshoot of part 1 of the Quirky Metal Sculptures in Sebastopol California.  The DJI Forum Community voted on. (Read a local photo essay on them. Click on image below) I'm hoping I'll be able to pull off some cinematic moves I'm working on. There are so many unique metal sculptures, This could easily be a five part series. My show format will be a live 30 minute long show broken down in three segments. Segment 1  - Show Intro  Segment 2  -  Share Featured Video  Segment 3  -  Live Drone Q&A Hope to see you at my show!  Positive energy your way! Aaron

Cinematic Sequence

Image
As you probably know by now it is my personal goal to learn to fly cinematic drone as a one handed wheelchair bound stroke survivor. In my hours of research I found the filming technique called "Cinematic Sequence". Even though this filming is taught using handheld cameras, I know I need to apply cinematic sequences to all my drone films. A must! What do you think?

Drone Show Format Change (I Can't Walk But I Can Fly Drone Show)

Image
After a meeting with my show sponsor Tom Iliffe, we both agree that it would better our show quality if we share a pre recorded feature video with a live drone Q&A near the end of our show. This new show format will start on next months show November 3rd at 2 PM PST on my YouTube Channel.
